Birthday Garland

My stack of triangles.

My daughters birhtday is just 4 days after Christmas. So out with the Christmas decor and in with birthday fun! Here is some birthday garland I made and decorated with tonight. Super easy! You have to give it a try.

All I did was cut triangles, placed them wrong sides together and serged the edges. I also made some bias tape out of coordinating fabric, then sandwiched the triangles in between and sewed along the edge of the bias tape.

Christmas Stocking

December of last year my youngest was only 4 1/2 months. So I told myself he wouldnt know the difference if he had a stocking or not. I saved myself some work. Ok ok...I procrastinated. Well this year snuck up on me and I finally started this the last week in November.

The night before we headed on our drive to the Maaco Bowl I was able to finish this and hang it with the others.

You can find these cross stich patterns at Shepherds Bush. They have lots more to choose from.
Sorry about the snowflake in the way. We do have lots of snowflakes hanging from our ceiling right now.

More of the game hoodies

Wasnt able to get any of the red hoodie because my daughter didnt want to take off her rain poncho.

When I first imagined how these would turn out I was so excited. Then I went looking for the sweatshirt like fabric. I could not find the colors I wanted anywhere. Then one day while I was at Target I found these in the mens department for only $6.99. These were the exact colors I had wanted! So these are what I used.

Game Day

So I was planning on making these for my kids for Christmas. But then we decided to go to the bowl game in Vegas to cheer for our team. So now the kids will get to open these the morning of the game. I used this pattern found at Heidi and Finn modern wears for kids. But for the sake of time I left out the extra work of the buttons.

This red one is for our daughter. I just love the knits I found for the lining on all three of these

This black one with the zig-zag lining is for our oldest son.

This charcoal grey is for our youngest boy 18m. I am so pleased with how all three turned out and cannot wait to see the kids cheering in them on game day.

Teepee

I just finished making one of these fun Teepees for my kids for Christmas!

This pattern uses like 11 yards of fabric so imagine my excitement when I found this fabric at IKEA for $2.99 a yard. Not my first choice of fabric but for the price, I couldn't pass it by. Yeah!!! Cant wait to set it up and see the finished looked
