Spring/Easter Dress

Started out by finding the Amy Buttler fabric from her LOVE collection. Then I fell in love with the lime green knit fabric that I used for the top part of the dress. I had fun playing with the ruffles around the neckline.

It was meant to be a skirt and shirt combo. But my daughter insisted it be a dress. So I sewed them together and added a zipper in the side.

Here is the Easter Dress from last year. I guess I am still loving this color combo. Although, maybe they are somewhat different hues.

A small reveal...

Do you remember THIS post?

Well, finally here are two of the pieces. The cream top with the pleated neckline and the little bubble, sailor shorts.

Slub V-neck

My sister has a very well loved slub v-neck from Shade Clothing. Her birthday is coming up and she asked that I copy the shirt for her. She even had a hard time handing over the ratty old thing to me. Then when I called to tell her I finished her shirts she asked if I would send the old one back as well...

Here is a glance at a Shade slub v-neck original. She had the white version.

Here are the two colors I ended up doing. I felt like they would go with a lot.

camera strap slipcover

Followed the same tutorial as I have in the past from Priddy Creations. Then added the ruffled, turquoise, yumminess to the already bright & springy fabric.

Snuggler swaddle

Cannot believe its been a month since I have posted. I have been busy traveling around to visit and support family but I'M BACK!! Here is my most recent project. Its a baby snuggler. I found the pattern free online by Lotta Jansdotter. I just loved how it turned out...mostly because I love the fabric I found! Isn't the fabric adorable? This would be such a cute gift to take to a baby shower.

Beach bag

I have been wanting to make a little beach bag for all our sand buckets and scoopers. I saw this one by Vera Bradley and new I could make something similar.

I found some fabric at IKEA that I like and went to work.

The large Eyelets were fun. If I was to make it again I would put a few more in and make them closer together.

I love how it turned out. I put all our sand toys in it and they fit great. Just as long as I don't aquire anymore. This would be a fun bag to take to the pool as well. Plenty of room for some rolled up towels, sunscreen, etc.

I took lots of pictures during the making of this fun beach bag if anyone is interested in seeing a tutorial...

Sewing night

A few girls came over last night to sew up blankets for "Calling All Angels". We completed 6 blankets. One girl has one she is finishing up and I have fabric sitting here for one more so that will make 8. I will probably be swinging into the fabric store to get enough for 2 more so we will be able to send 10.

Here are the blankets that were finished last night.
