Beach bag

I have been wanting to make a little beach bag for all our sand buckets and scoopers. I saw this one by Vera Bradley and new I could make something similar.

I found some fabric at IKEA that I like and went to work.




The large Eyelets were fun. If I was to make it again I would put a few more in and make them closer together.



I love how it turned out. I put all our sand toys in it and they fit great. Just as long as I don't aquire anymore. This would be a fun bag to take to the pool as well. Plenty of room for some rolled up towels, sunscreen, etc.

Sewing night

A few girls came over last night to sew up blankets for "Calling All Angels". We completed 6 blankets. One girl has one she is finishing up and I have fabric sitting here for one more so that will make 8. I will probably be swinging into the fabric store to get enough for 2 more so we will be able to send 10.

Little girly quilt

Loved this cute yet simple little quilt. I used a wider measurement for the vertical strip. I liked the look better. I didn't use any batting for this. I felt like the chenille gave it just enough weight.

Just a peek

Thought I would give you a little peek on what I have been working on in between all the little projects. Hope it keeps you interested and wanting more. The following items are inspired by these little pants. When its all finished there will be 8 pieces and 5 looks total.

Quick grab diapers and wipes tote

This diaper and wipes tote holds 3-5 diapers and a small pack of wipes.

I just loved the bright spring-ish colors of these fabrics.

Yummy combo

I know huh...another blanket. But seriously I could not pass this yummy flannel combo up. I love the deep teal with the reds...mmmmmm. And dont you worry, you will be seeing a few more blankets before the month is up. We will be sewing some up at a girls night to send to "Calling all Angels." Can't wait to see what our turn out will be.

Here is the flannel I found for such a great deal the other day!!! I have enough for 4 very sweet baby blankets, which I will be sending to "Calling All Angels"

silky snuggly

I made this cute little snuggly for one of my husbands co-workers. I put it in a little gift box, added in a little binki clip and sent it off with the hubby.


For this snuggly I used 14 inch squares. 1 minky, 1 silky and added in a a cute little ruffle.

And guess what I picked up today?? I snagged up some sweet flannel that was on a very yummy sale for $2.50 per yard. Me and a friend are trying to coordinate a girls night to sew up some blankets for "Calling All Angels. So my cute flannel will be waiting.
